Canada, eh!

Off to Canada we went.  Looking clean and fresh at the Lake Berg trail head.
 Looking out at Kinney Lake
Over one of the sturdier bridges...
 And a more wobbly one...
To our camp for the night.
Next morning hiked up valley toward Lake Berg...
... the glaciers calved all night long...
Jen bonking at 6500 feet and 10 miles...
Ah, but the view was worth it.
Most of the campsites had sheltered cooking areas.  This one had a veritible cabin!
We preferred dinner al fresco though
Again, we headed UP the next day to snowbird col
 Nuf said
 Some parts were via ferrata-like
The massive glacier rolling down the back of Robson
 Happy campers
Nice view for a lunch, eh?
 Or a kiss
Some very creative rock cairn/chair formations
Dinner was a bit wet this night
 But camp was sure beautiful

All in all, a great backpack!

We cleaned up and headed to lovely Jasper where we saw bigger wild life in our parking lot than we saw up in the back country!!!!

We LOVED Pyramid Lake and took a relaxing kayak trip
Dru took relaxing to a whole new meaning
Can't wait to take the girls back here some day
 Alpen glow

Then down the Icefields Parkway... unbelievable

And a brief leg stretch at Lake Louise

 To the Bugaboo parking lot!!!
There was some early hand holding (a prelude for the Kain route)
 First UP some ladders

To home for the next few days
A view of Pigeon Spire from our Kain route
Dru with fluorescent orange jacket and rope nearing the gendarme

After shedding a few tears (OK sobs), we made it to the top!
Dru on the way down (thank god we didn't have to do the gendarme again)
 Down, down, down
And finally down the sketchy col
Next day, did a fun little route called Lion's Way.  Met some folks from Wisco on it!!!
The view of Bugaboo Spire from Lion's Way
And Snowpatch Spire as well...
 Much happier (and less exposed)
 Yippee, made it!
 Now down, down, down again
 Good and safe trip!
 Back down the cliffs...

And ladders....

To Radium Hot Springs where once again, we see more wild life than in the back country!!!  (Big horned sheep)

Relaxing our weary bodies

And taking a dip.  Oh Canada!!!!
