Mahalo Kauai

We spent our last day by the pool again. Mom and Dad enjoyed something called cocktail hour, but it seemed to last all day long. All I know is that this was a great first trip and that Mom and Dad really wear me out!

Kauai Waimea Canyon and Kokee Park

Mom and Dad dragged me all the way, 6.5 miles and 2000 feet, to the Awaawapuhi Point. The views were fantastic and it was my first lunch on the trail.

Kauai Pool

I had my first experience at the pool. It was fun, but a little cold. I learned to take good naps there.

Kauai Day One

Mom and Dad flew me over 6 hours to this island called Kauai. I don't remember much of the flight; I just remember having a good 4 hour nap. We had breakfast by this pond with koi and a swan. Our hotel room view was beautiful. Mom and Dad took me on another hike along the rugged coast the first day. I don't remember much of that, but I do remember having another good nap.

Home With Dad

Mom went somewhere she calls "work" for three whole days. I didn't like it very much the first day, but after that I learned that Dad can play with me just like Mom. I'm getting really good at grabbing my toys. I'm also learning to sit up like a big girl in my bumpy chair. Dad even had me holding my own bottle!

We're going someplace called Kauai today. I get to ride in a plane again. Mom keeps saying she hopes I sleep. We'll see!!! I sure do like to look around these days and there might be too much to look at to sleep!

Happy Hiker Again!

Mom successfully took me on a hike alone on Friday. I slept the whole way up Little Si Mountain. Mom says it was beautiful and sunny... I don't remember much of it. Mom has been putting a barrette in my hair and took pictures of me at the end of the trail. She says I "went from trail to beautiful in 3 seconds."

Mother's Day at Rattlesnake Ledge

Mom's wish for Mother's Day was a hike so we all headed out to the OTHER Rattlesnake Ledge trail. We joined about 2000 other people on a warm and sunny day outside. I couldn't sleep at all because it was too exciting watching everyone on the trail. I wasn't even the youngest one on the trail, would you believe it?
